Now in?its fourth year, The Canadian Telecom Summit has become the premier telecommunications industry event in Canada. Keynote speakers at the 2004 Summit included John Chambers from Cisco and Bill Owens from Nortel, as well as Hubert de Pesquidoux of Alcatel. We also heard from the CEOs of all of Canada's leading carriers (Michael Sabia of Bell, Darren Entwistle of TELUS, Bill Linton of Sprint Canada and John MacDonald of Allstream) and from the heads of Canada's regulator and its competition bureau. Our 2004 Summit attracted a sell-out crowd of 500 of the senior-most stakeholders in the industry, representing an excellent cross section of mainly CxOs and VP level executives from service providers, manufacturers, major customers, outsourcing and service industry firms, the financial community as well as leading members of the CRTC and Industry Canada.

The Summit has also attracted an increasing number of foreign delegates along with a number of US-based analysts. The event has been well covered in the trade and general press, including Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and highlighted by almost a full week of coverage in The National Post and daily reporting in The Globe and Mail, Canada's two leading business news dailies.

In 2005, we are expanding to a 3 day format (May 30-June 1), with the first day acting as a preliminary event - operating with multiple tracks, together with keynote addresses at the opening, closing and luncheon. The Summit itself will be the latter 2 days, following a similar format to previous years. This year's venue will be the Toronto Congress Centre, Toronto's newest conference facility, located just minutes away from the airport.
