Brenda Herold is responsible for the leadership of the software defined infrastructure (SDI) business at Wind River. Under her direction, the team is charged with delivering platforms that are secure, reliable, and provide low latency appropriate for a diverse range of stringent market needs. With platforms developed to solve critical problems for the rigorous telecommunications market, Wind River SDI solutions also adapt to other industries where network failures are simply unacceptable, including for use cases such as core networks, Internet of Things infrastructure, network appliances, radio access networks (RAN), content delivery networks (CDNs), virtual customer premise equipment (vCPE) and mobile edge computing (MEC) throughout wired and wireless networks.

Prior to joining Wind River, Brenda held a variety of engineering, product management, and general management leadership positions in the areas of telecommunications, networking, public safety, and security. She holds a B.S. in electrical engineering/computer science from Marquette University and an M.S. in computer engineering from the University of Illinois.
